Home Goods

Ahhh....took a nice relaxing trip to Home Goods today to get my creative juices flowing and to see what's out there this week. Hubby has had the flu since Valentine's Day and I was due for a little "me" time.

Some of you might think it's a bit strange to shop to relax, but I find it so inspiring and a wonderful creative outlet. I have even set up my own prop's in the store, pulling together things I love and putting them together on a tabletop, a chair, or wherever my design eye leads me. I have always loved set designing, decorating and creating new and unusual arrangements, so to "play" in the store, keep's me from spending a fortune and allows me to have fun... I just don't get paid for it!

Whenever I go there, I always find the most unusual and adorable decorations for the holidays, and Easter is no exception. The store has had tons of Easter items for the past few weeks, so when I see something, I pick it up. Needless to say my collection is growing and I have gotten such a sweet assortment of items over the years.

Here are a few pictures of the finds I picked up. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, and hope you have a Home Goods near you, Their prices are amazing! xxxooo

Gotta love Homegoods. I think I might have to head over there tomorrow after seeing the finds you got! Thanks for visiting earlier. I love BM glaze and tints. I use them all of the time too, sometimes I'm just too impatient to finish a project and have no glaze! I love thier primer....it goes on so smooth. have you tried thier lusterstone finishes? that's one thing I haven't done yet and am curious. If you have I want to pick your brain....

Hi, little Holly...I just saw your picture on your profile and how beautiful you are!!
I will pray that your hubby gets better very soon. The sickness is sure running around our part of the country, too. seems everyone is ill. So far, we have missed it.
I LOVE all the things you bought. We don't have a Home Goods here but do have a TJ Maxx that I love.
Take care and hugs,
bj

Hi Ruth,
I love it that you set up vignettes in Homegoods! Do you leave them in place, or return the items to their original shelves, or do you then purchase everything? I've never thought of doing that! Love the bunnies, especially the running one. :)

Have a great week. Hope your husband is feeling better. :)
xoxo,
Mary

Hi Ruth,
Just wanted to stop by for a minute and say hello.

I love all your great bunny finds! I have never heard of Home Goods before. I'm almost certain we don't have one in this area but I'll find out. I can just imagine you gathering up all those goodies to make your own display! :o) Maybe you'll get discovered and offered a job doing just what you love!!

Hugs,
Hope

Home Goods is the best, isn't it. The closest one to me is about 45 miles but so worth it. I try to go at least 1 to 2 times a month. I got the cutest vintage bunnies there this year. They had adorable Easter decorations. Love your finds!

Your easter decor is wonderful. I need to get busy decorating for the easter bunny. I love visiting your blog. Be sure to hop on over to mine and register for a set of pillowcases to be given away March 5. Have a blessed day, RoseMarie
