Change is GOOD!

I have been a very busy girl this summer and apologize for not being a better blogging buddy to all of you! As you can see, I have made some changes to Whispering Oaks. Change is good and a much needed respite from the same old, same old. I decided to go with a cleaner, fresher look. No frills and less clutter. I rolled the rugs and exposed the beautiful hard wood floors that lay beneath giving the rooms a more open feel........................

The dining room, which ajoins the living room, was given a fresh coat of paint, Ben Moore Southwest Pottery to the walls, with cream yellow for the trim. It is so warm, and earthy.
Simple, cleaner, fresher....Change is good!!!

I absolutely LOVE your beautiful, clean new look. LOVE IT !!!!!!!
I, too, have been trying to clean out clutter and things that really don't matter that much to me anymore. I, too, love more space and less fu-fu....I loved your home before but change is always good, I think. I am sure you are loving it !!
love, bj

I am so glad you are back it is nice to see that you are fine.
Changes are always fine and you did it very well. Clutter free living room is a dream of mine, but without clutter everything looks bigger and nicer. I love the colors and that you moved the carpet, great idea.

Enjoy the changes and have a great day! Suzy

OK, now I am having bittersweet feelings about all this change!!
I adore your living room...it looks just fabulous but I am beginning to wonder....WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT YOUR MURAL IN YOUR BEDROOM? I'm pretty sure I am going to faint and fall over dead if you say "paint it out"....
:O) bj

WHAT ??????????? PAINT OVER IT, you say. OK now...I love you dearly...just like a daughter but...
I'm gonna have to tell on you...to NIKKI....you know she loves that bedroom as much as I do.

I must say, however...I adore stripes...AND, knowing you and your talents, it will be beautiful!

OF COURSE YOU CAN REPAINT IT...
I am teasing you, dear Holly. I know, as well as anyone how good CHANGE can make you feel. Remember...I did the same thing..got rid of all (well, a LOT of it) to make the men in my life feel more at ease...which in turn, makes ME feel better!

Oh, and I won't tell Nikki...unless she beats it outa me and I HAVE to come clean!!hehehe

PAINT OVER IT????? PAINT OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am officially coming to your house with a chain saw....and I'm cutting that mural out and rescuing it..taking it home with me...and with a little duct tape it's gonna look AWESOME in my bedroom. I'm aghast...I'm quivering with indignation. I'm verklempt. I'm also a little sad...I'm sure the change is really good for you and it does look beautiful...but i'm sure glad I saved pictures of all of your rooms in my "favorites file". I'd be so sad to lose that vision of lovliness forever.

Good morning Holly, I looked all over for your email, but couldn’t find it, so I’m leaving you a message here just to say THANK YOU for your generosity in offering me your sweet angel… I was moved, and touched by your spirit of giving… to me, it's the intention, not the face-value of the gift, that's weighed, and I really appreciate your kindness. set your little angel somewhere amidst the foliage in your garden, and when you see him, think of me--and smile. :)

May the Light shine upon you today

Hugs

Cielo

It did open it up.

Love hardwood floors. When I recently cleaned my parents home for the realtor, I took up the rug and it made the room look so big.
